A Precursor to Spring

While the snow is still melting, and the blog still young, I thought it best to post some "things in the woods" from previous springs, and summers, in anticipation of whats to come. I'm pretty sure this is a barred owl, I'll check on that and edit the post accordingly. Next more colour, and then back to the snow to see what the melt will reveal.

Motion Cam part 1

Found... A hole in the side of a hill. Tracked with paw prints I was curious. I set up the motion cam. What was actually living in that hole? A family of foxes!!! Thanks to the motion cam, CONFIRMED! Luckily as well, the camera caught a fisher passing by, who decided to give the hole a sniff. So far the motion cam has taken a lot of empty photos of the forest, but there is still hope...
